No, this isn’t where I am going to post the recipe for gooey Cinnamon buns. Maybe I will search for a healthier alternative and post it around Christmas time. But for now, the photo above is an example of what not to do. My sincere apologies.
The first official 30 Day Challenge in the 30/30 Peak Fitness Challenge is to clean up your diet by cutting out the white stuff.
For you cheeky monkeys out there, I don’t mean cut out cauliflower, plain yogurt and protein powder. By white stuff, I mean the nutrient-deficient, energy-sucking, processed anti-foods: sugar and white flour. White bread, pasta, cookies, sugary cereal, white rice, cake, chocolate… and yes, cinnamon buns.
I actually started this 30 day Challenge in October. However, I loved how I felt so much, that I want to start again. This time I want to do it with you. My start date is November 1, 2011.
The Challenge is a simple way to improve your diet. Drastically improve it? Maybe. Chances are, your diet is already pretty good. But this Challenge will make your diet that much better. Think about all the opportunities to eat white stuff. Samples at the grocery store, dessert when out at a friend’s for dinner, bread basket at a restaurant, blended drinks in the evening, caramel drizzle on your Starbucks, a bite of your child’s cookie.
I challenge you to say ‘no thank you’ (because we can still be polite) for the next 30 days. Christmas is around the corner, and if you want to head in to the holiday season feeling lean, sexy and simply fantastic, join me on this 30 day challenge.
Remember to get your 30 minutes of exercise each day as well! You can lose weight without exercising… but if you want a rockin’ body, you need to move it!
