Hey Peak Fitness Athletes!
It’s the start of a New Year- and the start of our next 30 Day Challenge!
At the beginning of a challenge, it’s a good idea to measure where you are starting from. If your goal is to lose weight, gain muscle, or get into shape, start with a simple weigh in, measurements (chest, waist and hips), photo and fitness test.
Try this workout as your fitness test (GREAT WORK to the 5:30am Boot Campers– way to push yourselves!). It’s a fitness test- but also a killer workout. Remember to go hard- YOU ARE WORTH IT!
Test
Instructions: Warm up. The perform each exercise for 60 seconds. Record your score. Take 60 seconds to recovery before starting the next exercise (we took 60 this morning- but I think next time we’ll have to change that 🙂
1. High Knees
2. Squat Jumps
3. Burpees
4. Push-Ups
5. Lunge Jumps
6. Push-up Pose- jump feet in, and then out (I really need to come up with a name- any ideas?)
7. Plank with up and down movement- 30 seconds on each side
8. Lateral hops over a line
9. Triceps Push-ups
10. Stationary lunges- Right leg forward
11. Stationary lunges- Left leg forward
12. 1 leg balance + touch down (right leg)
13. 1 leg balance + touch down (left leg)
14. Plank pose- maximum time
