Here’s what to do:
✔️ Do muscle-building exercises at least twice a week to keep up your strength and prevent unwanted weight gain. Aerobic exercise, like walking, and biking are great for your heart, they won’t do much for building strength.
✔️ Aim for 8-15 reps of each exercise. Choose a weight that challenges you so that the last rep feels tough but doable with good form.
✔️ Focus on full body exercises and movements you would do in real life, such as squats and rotations.
✔️ Get enough protein! Protein is key for building and repairing muscle tissue. Most people should aim for at least 80g of protein per day. Think fish, skinless chicken, beans, and low-fat dairy for lean protein sources.
