When in Hawaii, do like the Hawaiians… and that means plenty of delicious tropical fruit. I generally don’t eat more than 1 or 2 servings a fruit per day, but here on vacation in the land of sugarloaf pineapple, strawberry papaya, pink pomelos,apple bananas,and an abundance of other local treats, my fruit intake has gone up.
Here’s a simple tropical smoothie, made with local fruit, but can be easily made anywhere. At home, I try to always keep a few bananas in the freezer for smoothies. Peel them first!
