Did you know?
Strength training becomes more important as we age. After age 30, most people lose 3-5% of their muscle mass every decade. This can lead to more injuries and a diminished ability to do the activities of everyday life.
But it doesn’t have to be this way.
By continuing a consistent strength training routine, you can eliminate muscle loss. Most people lose this muscle mass in their later years because they stop strength training. Work gets busier. Family commitments take priority. Life just happens…
But if you continue to engage and activate your muscles, you will preserve strength.
One of the best ways to do this is by doing a full-body strength routine two to three times per week on a consistent basis.
This is a type of training we offer at Ascend Fitness, and it allows our clients to maintain their strength and independence for decades to come.
Are you including strength training as part of your regular routine?
